COPADO

COPADO (Creating Options for Adolescents’ Development and Orientation) is a teen pregnancy prevention program that introduces positive sex education and family life workshops in junior high schools.

Prior to COPADO’s efforts, teen pregnancy was highly stigmatized in area schools and young women were often expelled for becoming pregnant. Notably, youths are no longer expelled from schools in which COPADO has been active educating, training and talking with students, teachers and parents.
